This film did a good job of mocking old Disney movies and other fairy tales, but it wasn't funny. The music wasn't great. The story is tired and has been told before. It's billed for kids but has too much adult humor for kids. It's too watered down for adults. It's just a bad movie.
Coraline left me breathless. The imagery, music, and 3D technology were adventure enough, but the story was moving and inspired. I want to see more like this. I want the soundtrack!
JJ Abrams launches "Star Trek" to a new dimension. He leaves all the humor, action, and character Star Trek is known for (but makes it even better) and adds increased drama and lens flares. Great casting, locations, and the music... oh the music. The music is epic.
One of the first movies to combine live action and animation. This film is one of Disney's finest. Every song is a classic and the story is magical and emotional. Very Disney.
This is my favorite Tim Burton film of all. The screenplay is absolute magic. It's a movie about families, truth, and dreams.
Freshman filmmaker brothers come out with a story about dreams that will stay with me for a long time. Inspiring and emotional, this movie is absolutely a must see. The Polish brothers are two guys to watch out for.
This film was largely ad-libbed and although made in 1977 has a old Hollywood feel to the whole thing. An interesting piece of art from Scorsese, De Niro, and Minnelli. The music is fantastic and the song "New York, New York" was written for this picture. Great movie.
This film exposes the worst things Hollywood does to her adherents. It examines what happens when the spotlight fades and the stars no longer shine. If only the story wasn't narrated like a police blotter. It is required viewing for film lovers, however.
This movie is huge and beautiful. Closely following the books, it will be a movie that is shared with children for generations.
Too long, too cheesy, the special effects everyone touted failed to impress, and the music made my ears bleed. The filmmakers did what they could to make an unimaginative screenplay impressive with the scale of the picture.
